Private bedroom & bathroom, and your own large open-loft living room.
Available unfurnished, or semi-furnished for an additional $50. NOTE: these pictures are shown with furniture that we no longer have. If you would like pictures of the empty rooms we will be happy to take those.

12'x11' bedroom, plus walk in closet and private bathroom. Newly renovated, freshly painted.
Bedroom door has a keyed lock for additional security/privacy.
Ceiling fan and new lighting. Window air conditioner available as well.
Bedroom and living area are both wired for TV - cable box in living area, another can be ordered for the bedroom. Large loft living room overlooks the main living room, which is not used often.

Shared kitchen, laundry and entry way/main floor. Kitchen is fully functioning, newly remodelled with plenty of dishes for everyone. We have a kitchen table as well as a dining room. 
We also have a full size refrigerator and a freezer in the garage, so there is plenty of room to share.
Living and dining room will be available for shared use.

We are within reasonable distance of many public transportation options and great bike paths. We are about a mile from Greenburg Road and Hwy 217, easy access to I5, and we love the location; we can get pretty much anywhere quickly and easily.  

Ideally we are looking for 1 or 2 people (friends, roommates, couple). This could also be a perfect living arrangement for a college/med school student(s), or even someone looking for short term (6 mo or so) housing. We both work, and have our college-age daughter living at home as well who works a full time job. We have plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. 

We have 2 cats and 2 dogs. Ideally we are looking for someone who loves animals and maybe can't have any of their own right now.

We are continuing the work on updating and renovating our home. We have started with the "rental wing" as we have come to call it, and are just finishing up a complete remodel of the kitchen. Nothing drastic, just making our home a little more current! This includes the back and side yards as well. The side yard has raised garden beds and a compost pile that will be available for your use after some clean up. Perfect if you love to garden or grow your own veggies.

We are not rowdy party animals, we are also not the super quiet home bodies.
Non-smokers preferred (smoking outside if you must!) and definitely no drugs! Plenty of room for wine and beer in the garage fridge, we just prefer that it's not excessive.

We will be putting our house on the market within the next 1 to 3 years. Any renter is welcome to stay until the house sells once we put it on the market.  We will notify you once we have made the decision to list the house, and before it is put on the market.

Rent (unfurnished) is $550 plus $150 for utilities, per month. We reserve the right to up the utilities to $200 per month is the bills increase substantially.
Semi-furnished for an additional $50 per month. [We have a corner couch, tv, tv stands, desk, and other living room type furniture.  No bed at this time. We do have a futon frame]
Utilities include power, heat, garbage/recycling, water, TV (extended cable, no HBO), high speed wired/wireless internet.

Deposit is $250, $200 refundable on move out with no damage, $50 will be used to cover carpet cleaning and repainting. "House rules" are very fair and we have very reasonable expectations for keeping the kitchen and common areas clean and orderly.  Rent is month to month, with a 30 day notice.
